Christopher Pontrelli

Principal at Pontrelli, Timour & Associates, Inc.

Pontrelli-09R(9363)R---Client-Copy-(Mottled-Bkgrd)-500x625A California native of Pasadena, Chris Pontrelli first experienced the insurance broker’s world first hand, as his father was a licensed life insurance and annuity professional for many, many years. . After graduating from UC Irvine in 1992, Chris started his career with Banker’s Trust in their 401k administration division.

The company managed many of the largest accounts in Southern California, including the County of Los Angeles account as well as the Pacific Telesis account. PacTel was one of the seven regional bell operating companies known as the Baby Bells, and Chris spent a majority of his time at Banker’s Trust working on the administration of this essential account.

Although he was already licensed by the National Association of Securities Dealers (Series 6 & 63) to sell mutual funds and manage securities, Chris decided to obtain his Health & Insurance License from the California Department of Insurance in 1993. Leaving the faceless security of Banker’s Trust, Chris set-up a desk in his father’s office and got into the insurance business.

Chris decided to work with groups and businesses in Southern California to help them achieve their goal of offering their employees top tier benefits at the best value, in order to recruit and retain the best team members for their organizations. Married with two children, Chris always had a vision and desire, to provide customercentric service with a human face.

As his business started to grow, Chris teamed-up with his childhood friend Raphy Timour to form Pontrelli, Timour & Associates, Inc. in 2003. PT Benefits is a full-service, independent insurance agency specializing in employee benefits. In 2007, PT Benefits moved to its present location in South Pasadena as the company continued to expand and grow.

For over a decade, Chris Pontrelli and Raphy Timour deliver creative, cost-saving benefit program solutions to Southern California Business owners. In 2014, Chris is excited to guide his clients through the challenge of the Affordable Care Act, in order to navigate his clients through the compliance and complexity of the ACA, but ensure that these organizations will continue to offer the top benefits at the best value in order to recruit and retain the best team members for decades to come.
